| Bob the Builder Quilt |
The customers and staff at Kensington Park enjoyed various displays and activities to get them pumped up for the New Year.
For the month of December, the Friendship Star Quilters brought some of their beautiful quilts to display. Children especially loved the Bob the Builder quilt! If you're interested in visiting the Friendship Star Quilters, they meet the first Monday night of each month.
On Thursday, December 28, we had a very special program during which library customers got to decorate bookends and color in CD's. We had a ton of creative design themes ranging from floral beauties to dinosaur inhabited lands. These works of art are currently being displayed in our glass case near the main entrance. | Superhero Drawing |
Preschool aged customers colored in their own superheroes in preparation for MCPL's second annual comic convention, MoComCon. MoComCon will take place January 27, 2018 at the Silver Spring Library from 11:00 AM to 4:00 PM. It was a huge hit last year, so you won't want to miss it. Show up dressed up as your favorite book, television show, or movie character. Who knows? Maybe you'll win the cosplay contest. There will be other free fun exhibits, workshops and displays. Bring your family and friends!
